Men's basketball player Dan Kelly injuredby Colin Whited on August 31, 2009 USA men’s basketball player Dan Kelly is out indefinitely after suffering an unspecified knee injury during practice Monday. A source close to the team called the injury a “freak accident.” Kelly reportedly landed awkwardly while shooting jumpers. Team officials were unavailable for comment. Kelly, a 6’6” forward attending his first Deaflympics, is expected to be a key contributor in the team’s quest to win a 14th consecutive gold medal. |
