Wood is golden!by Chris Kaftan on September 6, 2009 Cyclist Paul Wood has received the United States' first medal of the 2009 Taipei Deaflympics. Wood received his gold medal in the 1,000 meter sprint. He has regained the mantle as the best sprinter in the world, a position he has held numerous times in the past. His medal is his 10th overall in six Deaflympics, and his fifth gold. *With reporting by Colin Whited at the cycling venue.* |
